How To Install Inside Mount Roller Shades

If you took measurements for inside mount roller shades, you can follow these simple steps for installation:

•  Use a pencil to make a mark 1” from the front top corner of the window casing
• Use to mark and your bracket to mark the location for the screw. Repeat the process on the opposite side for the other bracket
• Ensure the brackets are straight by using a level tool or a steel measuring tape
• Create starter holes using a hammer and a screwdriver by slowly tapping at the mark points. You can also use a drill. Either way, doing so will make it much easier for you to fasten your screws.
• Securely screw your brackets into place
• Mount your roller shades using the end with the round pin first. Next, push your spring-loaded idle end in and release atop the center bracket so that it snaps into place.
• Test out your new shades by slowly pulling on them to ensure that you get even movement across the entirety of the shades.

How To Install Outside Mount Roller Shades

If you took measurements for outside mount roller shades, you can follow these simple steps for installation:

•  Hold up your shades in the exact location where you would like to place them and use a level tool or steel measuring tape to ensure that they are centered. Use a pen to make a mark at both ends.
• Measure two inches from each of those pencil marks and ⅓” up from the window top to get your bracket positions.
• Use the marks to get your brackets in place and mark locations for the screws.
• Create starter holes using a hammer and a screwdriver by slowly tapping at the mark points. You can also use a drill. Once done, screw your brackets into places and ensure that the locking mechanism can move freely.
• Position the front groove of your shade back bar on the lip of the back and rotate up until you hear it snap into place.
• If you have a shade that came with an additional valance, you can mount your valance by simply sliding it over the shade until it locks in place.
• Test out your new shades by slowly pulling on them to ensure that you get even movement across the entirety of the shades.
